Spotting the Solution

A person standing in an airport terminal, looking at a lost luggage display with a question mark symbol. The person has a backpack with a rolled sleeping pad attached, and there are other travelers in the background.

The Interactive Airport is a product design solution engineered to assist lost travelers. Equipped with an interactive touchscreen and a built-in barcode scanner, it instantly bridges the physical terminal with a digital navigation experience right when passengers need it most.

Brainstorming and sketching

Sequence of images showing a person interacting with a sky blue digital kiosk and a smartphone, displaying a sky with clouds and Arabic text, in an indoor setting with glass doors and warm lighting.

During the prototyping phase, I tested the interactive screen with users in an airport environment. I observed how they navigated the interface and understood the options. Based on their feedback, I made several design changes to make the experience smoother and easier to use.

Prototyping & User Research

Digital Interface

An automated kiosk with a screen displaying a map and the word "Lost?" in large blue letters, surrounded by a yellow circular frame.

When travelers scan the QR code, the app opens instantly on their phone without needing to download anything or sign into an app store. It immediately shows their exact route and walking time, ensuring a completely stress-free journey from the airport entrance straight to their seat.
